Originally from Grimsby in Lincolnshire, Jennifer did not find her passion for
music until her teens. It was due to her determination and newfound love for
music that she managed to achieve ABRSM grade 8 in both trumpet and piano in
just 4 years. Her ensemble playing has taken her across the country and even to
Germany as she played alongside several diverse groups including orchestras,
brass bands and even a marching band!
Jennifer is currently studying music at the University of Hull where she gained
experience for accompanying ABRSM exams as well as solo exhibitions and
ensembles. A big part of her focus at university is arranging and orchestrating
music for the various ensembles. Jennifer believes that music should be fun for
everyone and tries to create a balance of challenging and exciting for the
musicians she writes for. She hopes to be able to apply this skill to CIME to make
music that students want to play achievable to their abilities at the time. Jennifer
has also worked alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to create
workshops for children around Hull. She hopes to do more workshops like this
across Hull so that everyone gets to experience the joy of playing music.
